Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit is during the dry season from February to May and August to October. Early morning (around 7 AM) is ideal to avoid crowds and the intense midday heat. The climb involves steep metal staircases and is physically demanding.
Getting Around
Sigiriya is located in the Cultural Triangle. Most visitors stay in nearby Dambulla or Habarana and travel to the site by tuk-tuk or private vehicle. The entrance fee is substantial compared to other Sri Lankan attractions.
